About Me
I started building bulletin board systems in the early '90s, back when connecting to the internet meant listening to the song of a dial-up modem. By the end of that decade, I was running network operations for one of California's largest ISPs. Over the next 25 years, my work carried me through industrial automation, two-way radio systems, and consulting, eventually leading me to where I am today, guiding security and AIsec strategy for companies that handle millions of financial transactions worldwide. What's always driven me is the thrill of solving problems most people think can't be solved, such as getting speech recognition to work in loud, chaotic factories long before Siri existed and designing AI implementations that protect rather than expose intellectual property. I've watched technology evolve from the static hum of modems to AI that can write its own code, but the principles haven't changed: build things that actually work, keep them secure, implement safety controls, and never forget that behind every system there are real people just trying to get real work done.

About this site
This site was built to showcase the skills and abilities I've developed over the years working in tech. It's a living proof of my technical capabilities. Every skill mentioned below is actually used somewhere on this site, whether in the frontend, backend, or the infrastructure that keeps it running. Think of this as my professional living CV that I update whenever I learn something new or build something interesting! For more information on the architectural design of this site
I am happily employed as the Director of InfoSec for Wellfit Technologies, a great place to work certified company! We are always looking for new talent see our page on Lever!
AI Strategy & Implementation
I help companies figure out what AI can actually do for them—not the hype stuff, but the real stuff. Like cutting manual work in half or catching security threats before they become problems. I work with businesses across the country, especially in healthcare and finance where one mistake can cost millions.
Technical Leadership
I help teams move from research to production systems that people use daily. The challenge is shipping innovation without production disasters, late-night pages, or the typical fires that derail deployments.
Innovation & Growth
Here's what I love about AI: someone comes to me saying 'we need to automate customer support,' and three weeks later we've discovered they could also predict equipment failures, optimize inventory, and save two hours of manual data entry per employee per day. That's the fun part—finding the stuff they didn't even know was possible.
Healthcare & Financial Security
Healthcare companies that treat security like a checklist pass audits and still get breached. Real security means systems catch threats before humans notice them, then fix them automatically while everyone sleeps. That's what lets you process $2 billion without panic attacks.

The Agentic AI Bible
by Thomas R. Caldwell
A comprehensive technical guide covering the entire lifecycle of building autonomous AI agents from design principles to production deployment.
Key Insights
This book stands out as the most practical guide I've found for building AI agents that actually work in production. The real value comes from its deep coverage of perception loops, recursive reasoning patterns, and safety mechanisms that prevent agents from making catastrophic errors. What struck me most was the balance between architectural theory and implementation details - you get both the high-level system design and the specific code patterns needed to build reliable agentic systems. The chapters on multi-agent orchestration show exactly how to coordinate complex agent teams without creating chaos. Every engineer building autonomous AI systems should have this reference on their desk.
AI Engineering
by Chip Huyen
A practical framework for building production-ready AI applications with foundation models, focusing on engineering principles over hype.
Why This
This book delivers exactly what the AI industry needs right now: a reality check wrapped in actionable engineering wisdom. The product-first methodology presented here shifts focus from chasing model capabilities to solving actual user problems. What resonated most with me was the systematic approach to RAG implementation and the thorough treatment of evaluation methods, particularly the AI-as-a-judge framework. The fine-tuning section alone saved me weeks of experimentation by outlining when it's worth the effort and when it's not. Having built several failed prototypes before reading this, I can confirm the patterns described here are the difference between Twitter demos and production systems. The endorsement from OpenAI's team speaks volumes about its relevance to real-world AI development.
Agentic Artificial Intelligence
by Pascal Bornet, Jochen Wirtz, et al.
An exploration of how AI agents are transforming from tools into digital colleagues that can independently execute complex business tasks.
The Takeaway
The vision presented here feels like science fiction becoming reality - AI agents that function as genuine digital colleagues rather than simple automation tools. The concept of 'compounding intelligence advantages' particularly caught my attention: these systems actually improve through continuous operation, creating exponential value over time. The case studies demonstrate tangible results with 25% cost reductions and 40% customer satisfaction improvements across various industries. What makes this credible is the practical implementation framework backed by detailed examples from companies already deploying these systems. The comparisons to Jarvis and Samantha help visualize the potential, but the real value lies in the concrete roadmap for building agent-based organizations. Reading this left me with mixed feelings - excitement about the possibilities and genuine questions about workforce transformation.
